So to make up for last week's race that nobody finished, the race committee decided to give us a short race - 2.2 nm!! So instead of not finishing, we would be finished in under a half an hour. We got a good start starboard at the pin going into lees current toward North Island. When we finally got a chance to tack, the boats heading in the other direction had gotten a 20 degreee shift to the left. We reached X with good speed but a fair distance behind the lead boats. We tacked around X, reached over to Y and launched the spi as we rounded. We maintained good speed off the wind rounded 21 clean and headed back up the finish line. We neither gained nor lost any positions in any of the roundings and finsihed just before 1830 ahead of Blue Agave. We ended up correcting to 12/15.
